antv (Andalas Televisi) is an Indonesian television network based in South Jakarta.
Antv was launched on 1 january 1993 as a local television station in the Lampung province. In the same month the government licensed antv for nationwide broadcasting and the firm moved its headquarters to South Jakarta. It owns 21 relay stations and is capable of reaching 154 cities.Since 30 September 2005, Robert Murdoch's News Corp owns a 20% stake in antv, via its Hong Kong-based satellite and cable operator STAR TV. Under Indonesian law, foreign companies can only have a 20% stake in local media companies.
The station has a 5% market share out of 180 million viewers in Indonesia, competing with 10 other national networks as well as local stations.
They also started broadcasting a 2 hour version of Sky News Sunrise from 13:00 to 15:00 since 29 December 2004.
- Indosiar

Indosiar is a privately owned national television station in Indonesia, which has been operating from West Jakarta since 1994. It was founded and is owned by the Salim group.The station has a strong focus on cultural programming, such as a program dedicated to wayang performance. At the same time, it is also becoming prominent in programs such as reality, talk shows and drama series, particularly "sinetron" soapies with themes such as love and family.
Its logo resembles the logo of TVB in Hong Kong, and there seems to be some association as Indosiar broadcasts some Hong Kong programs such as The Return of the Condor Heroes.
Indosiar shows some Korean, Japan, and Taiwan drama, for example: Korea: Hwang Ji Ni (or Hwag Jin Yi), Jewel in the Palace (Dae Jang Geum), Princess Hours (Goong), Prince Hours (Goong S), Full House, and 18 vs 29. Japan: One Litre of Tears (or One litre no Namida) Taiwan: Romance in the White House
- Metro TV

Metro TV is Indonesia's first 24-hour news channel based in West Jakarta. The station was established on November 25, 200 and now has over has over 53 transmission sites all over the country. It is owned by Surya Paloh who also owns the Media Indonesia daily. These two, along with other newspapers distributed in different parts of Indonesia, are part of the Media Group, also owned by Paloh.
It is the only TV station to offer Mandarin news and no sinetron (soap opera) programs in Indonesia, although lately the station has also begun to broadcast entertainment programs such as a talk show called "e-Lifestyle", and the satrical news and current affairs show called "Republik Mimpi" (The Dream Republic).
Metro TV also offers one of its top programs called Indonesia Now. The program, which is broadcast worldwide, primarily gives information about Indonesia to the world.
- RCTI

RCTI (Rajawali Citra Televisi Indonesia) is Indonesia's first privately owned television network based in West Jakarta. RCTI first went on-air in August 1989 as a local station and had a nationwide license one year later. Owned by PT Global Mediacom and PT Bimantara Citra and managed by PT Media Nusantara Citra or MNC as its holding company and Ericcson, the station has about 50 transmission sites across the country. MNC also oversees two other television stations, namely TPI and Global TV, and also Radio Trijaya and Radio ARH as well as the Seputar Indonesia newspaper.The station's motto is "Semakin Oke" ("More and more OK"). RCTI is well known for broadcasting Indonesian Idol. It also broadcasts sinetron (soap opera), films, news and current affairs, reality programs, religion and more. Its news and current affairs programs include the popular Seputar Indonesia (Around Indonesia) and Buletin Malam (Nightly Bulletin).

Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is an Indonesian television station. Its headquarters are in South Jakarta. It began broadcasting on August 24, 1990, in Surabaya, East Java, broadcasting only to the city and surrounding area. In 1991 SCTV Bali was established in Denpasar. At this point the programming was similar to that of RCTI and used some of their news programs until they could produce their own. In 1993 it was given a national license, and eventually moved its operations to Jakarta, the main office in South Jakarta and studios in West Jakarta. It is owned by the Sariaatmadja group. Its motto is "Satu Untuk Semua" ("One for All") and "Berbagi Sensasi" ("Give Sensation"). During the 2006 World Cup, it holds the monopoly as the only broadcaster to broadcast the event. It famous for its soap operas, such as Suci, Cinta Bunga, Azizah and Cinta Indah. - Trans TV

Trans TV (Televisi Transformasi Indonesia) is an Indonesian national television station based in South Jakarta. Owned by Chairul Tanjung, it began broadcasting in 2001. The station is similar to other commercial stations, showing news, movies, drama series, variety shows, quiz shows, and children's programs. - Trans 7

Trans 7 (formerly known as TV7) is an Indonesian commercial television station based in Central Jakarta. It is jointly owned by the Gramedia Group and Trans TV. It began broadcasting in 2001. On 15 December 2006, the official name became Trans 7 from TV 7 due to its half ownership by Trans Corp, a company that also owned Trans TV. The motto is "Semakin Beragam Semakin Menarik" ("Increasingly Diverse, Increasingly Interesting").In 2003 when the station relayed the Al Jazeera television station during the U.S invasion of Iraq. Some key programs include broadcasting FA Premier League and Captain Tsubasa.

TPI (Indonesian Education Television) is an Indonesian private television station based in East Jakarta. TPI was established by Siti Hardijanti Rukmana, the first daughter of Suharto. Owned by the MNC Group, it began broadcasting on 23 January 1991.It began broadcasting only educational programs, but have since become similar to other Indonesian TV stations, showing programs such as quizzes and "sinetron" soap operas, reality tv, sport, and lately, dangdut, some people even calling it "Dangdut Television" because of programs such as a dangdut competition and a dangdut quiz program.

Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) is the oldest television station in Indonesia, and was the only television station until 1989. The television station is publicly owned, the first broadcast was made on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of Indonesian Independence on 17th August 1962 from the National Palace, Jakarta. This was a black and white transmission, and the station subsequently broadcast the Asian Games held in Jakarta.Its headquarter is located in South Jakarta.
